Our Club
A Short Introduction
Thank you for taking the time, trouble and effort to find out about the Edinburgh MG Club. This website has been prepared as an introduction to who we are and what we do.
What is the Club?
The Edinburgh MG Club is an area of the national MG Owners’ Club (MGOC). We are recognised by the MGOC and receive a limited amount of help from them. However, we are independent, and our members need not be MGOC members. They only need to own, or have an interest in, MG cars, and support the Edinburgh Club. We receive no financial support from the MGOC, and only charge a subscription fee for our monthly Newsletter.
Where and when does the Club meet?
Our Club nights will now be held on the second Thursday of each month. From July 2009, these meetings will be held in The Countryside Inn - a couple of miles from the A720 Straiton Junction, on the A701 Penicuik road, just off the Gowkley Moss roundabout. We meet informally from 7:30pm onwards. Parking is available in the carpark at the rear of the Inn, or on the old road in front of the Inn. For those who wish to eat first, a good quality, varied menu is available at reasonable cost.
